What counts as a visited country?
There is no official personal-travel rule. Many travellers count a country after passing immigration and spending meaningful time there, while excluding airside airport connections. Others count any entry across the border. Choose a rule you can apply consistently.
This tool uses a 195-country reference: 193 United Nations member states plus the Holy See and the State of Palestine. Territories and constituent countries are not included in the percentage, even though many travellers track them separately.
